I am angry.

I. Am. Angry. Fullstop.

First point. I am currently rotting at home with nothing to do and I feel useless and so I'm angry with myself.

Second. I am trying to persuade my mum to let me go to the Bash. And I am having some hard time doing that.

Third. I am NOT happy.

Knock-Knock 敲敲门: Rui En 瑞恩

My mood was totally spoilt because of things that happened today. Like embarrassing things. And things which I was not happy with. But nevertheless reading Idol's answer (<-- Click to read interview) to Paul Chan's email interview brightened up my day (or rather evening).

[What interview?]
Okay. Paul Chan's the guy behind the BaguaTV blog, and he's the VP of MediaCorp’s Branding & Promotions for Channel 8. Anyway, he asked us fans to comment on a particular post what we wanted to ask RE since he was going to interview her. So out of the few questions I submitted, two of them were answered. :) I think it's partly because my comment was actually the first few, so yeah. I shan't tell you how many questions I submitted or which were the questions submitted by me because I was using another name. So you wouldn't find out who I am. Heheheheh.

I shall post some of the answers that I really like. :)

Q: Do you foresee yourself being in the entertainment industry for the long term? I hope so coz I would miss your singing and acting if you would to leave the entertainment industry one day.

RUI EN: “It depends what your definition of “long term is”. As much as I love what I do, there will definitely come a time when I feel I’ve given all I have to give, and that it’s time to move on.

Q: Do you have any ambition in your career? As in, ultimately, what do you aim to achieve? For eg, A best female lead? An All-Time Favourite Artiste Award? Gain recognition overseas? High sales in your future album? Having a breakthrough role? etc.

RUI EN: “Likewise, these are things that I never think of or even strive towards. I get asked by reporters all the time about such comparisons in relation to the other “princesses”. To me, such comparisons are the equivalent of trying to determine which is the best and most popular : chicken rice, prata, mee goreng or char kuay teow. All have their own merits, following and appeal. In other words, it’s impossible to determine a concrete answer and a waste of time.”

I am only in competition with myself, no one else. To continually compare yourself with others is incredibly destructive. My only goal is to keep pushing myself to grow as a person.

Q: Many of us have this mentality that celebrities take up volunteering simply only for public scrutiny and media attention. Is this the reason why you have chosen to be low profile about this? What then prompted you to take up regular volunteering on your own accord and how did you managed to find time for this?

RUI EN: “I try to be low profile about this because the last thing I want is to utilize this to benefit my public image. I chose to answer this question only because I want to try to encourage more youths to volunteer. Like I’ve said before, we are an incredibly selfish generation and desperately need to learn to be unconditional.”

“I do this when I’m not filming and I decided to start out of a pure dissatisfaction with spending all my time doing things for myself and for my own benefit. I told myself, “There’s gotta be more to life than this.” And I was right. Making others happy makes me so happy. I love kids so I work with kids. There is so much we can do. Given the amount of time all of us spend on Twitter, Facebook, etc, ie. on ourselves everyday, couldn’t we take a little of that time to help others?

And finally, my favourite.

Q: Who do you look up to in your life or rather how do you make your life as meaningful as it can be? I would really wish to learn this from you.

RUI EN: “Don’t compromise your beliefs, principles and integrity, no matter how hard it gets. Resist the easy way out, the process is so much more important than the end. Learn to be unselfish, considerate and unconditional. Build your self-worth with pure hard work and the resulting achievement, not with superficial things.”

“I will always be learning till the day I die, but this is what I can share with you now :)

Got back my Sa2 papers. Quite glad with my result except for the fact that my History and Lit were done quite badly. But never mind, no point brooding over what's been done. I shall just be happy that my other subjects were done pretty well, for at least I managed to squeeze into top 10 list in class (I know you're gonna say I very BHB -_-).

Oh, and today I was tired after ATC and I slept on 159, and I missed my stop, again. So I decided to walk round the convenience store and bought two packets of Mamee noodle. Cheap but delicious, has the taste of childhood... :/ So it's not true that cheap things are only worth their price (even though most of the time it is), because if you were to ask me to choose between a $1.50 worth of potato chips or a 30 cents Mamee noodle, I'd choose the second option. :)

Dragon Kiln Tour

Wanted to post this when I got home that night, but I reached home at 7+pm and I was lazy. So to compensate for that, I have decided to upload the pictures I took. :)

Uh, not here. On Facebook.

I was REALLY irritated by the uploading function of Blogger. :(

1st animated pic

WAKAKAKA. I got inspired and did this.

Photobucket

Feel free to take it if you like RE like me. But just remember to credit me yea. :)

deep down.

Behind that happy front,
lies a face unseen.

And deep in that face,
are the feelings that will never be noticed.

A lil' less bored.

Believe me, I'm going to talk about being bored, steel. (<-- Lame) This BOOMZ phenomenon's going around ever since Ris Low started saying boomz. Kay whatever.

Life's a lil' less boring with The Circle of Blood written by Alane Ferguson. Thrilling forensic mystery revolving around the main character, Cameryn Mahoney, who's an assistant to her father, a coroner. Autopsy details were graphical. Especially for people like me who has a very vivid imagination, and can make words into pictures in my mind. Sorta cool.

. . .

Why?

So I bet everyone of you have taken an informal group photo, with your friends, with your family, your classmates. Whatever. And when you look through the photos, did you realise that some of the people tend to crouch/lower their body?

I have no idea why people do that. Maybe I've done that, but yea. I mean it's not that everyone has to look like they're of the same height or something. It's a weird thing isn't it? You do crouch a little when there's people behind you and wants to show their face. But if there were only one row of people?

Look through your group photos. I bet you can find one like that. :)

Bored, Bored, Bored + More bored.

Dead bored.
It's just the first day of the six and I'm already feeling bored. Extremely bored. Like #@&*$^#&$^&!* bored. So now do you know how bored I am?

I've been loitering around Facebook, Twitter, RBKD Forum, Jayisgames.com, and here. But nothing seems to capture my interest. So too bad.

And the main reason I'm typing this is to feel not-so-bored, geddit? So you can actually not read anything here because this post is actually redundant.

Anyway, we went to AMK hub to watch Fame yesterday. And ate Pepper Lunch before going there. I forgot to take pictures of my Seafood Pepper Rice, but I did take pictures of the black sesame soft serve ice cream. -licks-

You hungry? Want a cup of milo dinasaur? Here, give you.

Fame

Yea, exams ended. Six days of marking days holidays. Haven't planned what to do during these few days, but honestly, it's not very different from exam days, since I still use the comp everyday. Instead I feel even more useless because all I'm going to do is to coop myself in my room and use my comp even though there's nothing much on the comp too.

Since the days are so long and boring, I think I should make a trip down to Chinatown. Readers who've seen my older post will know. :)

My holiday plan for now:
1. Go to Marina Barrage
2. Go to Chinatown
3. Go and exercise
4. 3rd attempt of drawing RE
5. Read a book
6. Sleeeeeeeeep. Celebrate Deepavali and Kamlesh's house

Just kidding. I can't be sleeping for six days right? I mean, I can't even sleep for ONE whole day right? Hey, I realised there's 6 options. Option 6 will be fixed on this Saturday, and I shall just randomly pick the rest of the options for the rest of the days.

My dear Fang fang can't go out with me until this weekend. So sad hor?

I'm getting fatterrrrrrrrrr

Today's lunch/brunch was, McD. Again.

And clumsy Santhini got my accident-prone 'virus' and toppled her whole cup of coffee that was free. But luckily I have fast reaction and therefore 'siam-ed' very fast and only got a drop of coffee on my skirt. Unfortunately Santhini doesn't have a fast reaction like I do so she got a big patch of coffee on her skirt. Her green wallet was on the table and so, y'know what happened. This kind auntie helped us clean the table while Santhini and I was washing up. Had to pour all her coins out to wash it. But I guess, it will no longer be a green pouch......

After finishing my cup of coffee, which fortunately did not spill, we went to buy ice-cream (at McD's again)! I decided to try the green apple flavour burst while she got strawberry sundae, which is in fact my favourite. And this was the funny part......

This is my half-eaten green apple flavour burst
(which looks like it is going to drip soon).

And this. Is her strawberry sundae with extra green apple flavour!

She was eating it happily while we were walking back to AMK hub. Then I burst out laughing and she thought she spilled something again. I mean, have you seen a green apple flavoured strawberry sundae?!

Oh well, I guess it's not that funny......

I'm back like, AGAIN?

I always tell myself that I should not be using the comp now.
But unfortunately, I'm back, like, AGAIN.

I'm bored, and therefore I shall talk about myself and my Idol! :)

So by now, you guys should have already known that I like green and I like frogs, and of course my Idol. But NO, I didn't like green because of frogs, and I didn't like frogs because of Idol. She has this song called 'Qing Wa' (frog), and of course I didn't fall in love with frogs after my Idol's song.

Hmm, when did I start loving green? Can't remember, but honestly, I used to hate green a lot. Because my house colour (during my primary school days) was green, and it's the ugliest shade of green. Somehow rather I just started liking lime green, and therefore the love for green. :)

Now to frogs. I started liking frogs because frogs are one of those cartoons that are made into products (especially in Artbox and Minitoons etc.), and therefore I can buy a lot of those frog products, just like how you see lotsa pandas in Artbox. My first frog product was a frog-piggy-bank, aka froggy-bank, which I bought during last year June? So it is impossible to say that I like frogs because of Idol, because details of her album weren't even released yet, much less the title of that song......

Now back to my Idol. I like my Idol because she is, Special. Unique. Different. Out of the ordinary. One in a million. (Okay enough of all those vocab, I can just copy the url for the thesaurus :P) And I like special people (and things). And she is, of course, unique. She's not just one of the 7 princesses of Caldecott Hill. And you know, 喜欢一个人是不需要理由的咯 (Translation: You don't need a reason to like somebody). :)

That is why, you see 'I adore Rui En for her uniqueness' on my locker and on my RBKD forum nick. :)

P.S: I tried translating '喜欢一个人是不需要理由的' using the Full Text Translator on Dictionary.com. And you know what, this is the translation:

Like a person is no reason

P.P.S: I know you people love the colours, RIGHT? :D

Hiatus

Almost everyone is on hiatus,
and now this person over here who is supposed to be but is not,
has lost her source of entertainment,
becaue people aren't updating their blogs. :(

Supposed to be M.I.A.

I know I'm supposed to be mugging and revising for the upcoming exams and supposed to be M.I.A, but oh well, I'm just relaxing for today (and maybe tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, and maybe the day after the day after tomorrow, you get my drift!).

Saw some tilt shift peeks which were really cool! Tilt shift is something you do to your peeks to make them look like they're miniature, by using those special camera lenses (or something like that).

So I tried doing mine with Photoscape's fake tilt shift function,

Doesn't look quite miniature la, but you can't blame me since it's like the first time I'm doing this and I haven't got nicer pictures to try on. :)

M.I.A.

EOY. Exams. Revision. Mug. Study. Papers. SA2.
Quite depressed these few days. Not telling you the reason.
(Neh ni neh ni poo poo) :P
Okay, that's lame. I know. But anyway, I'm feeling happy now because the first two papers are over! Yea yea, there's still like so many papers before I can fully relax.

Oh, just to say something. Can you people don't freaking waste paper? Today's exam we were given many pieces foolscap paper which were too many for most people. Then some people stupidly wrote their name even though they didn't use it. And THEN they will throw it away (or become an aeroplane before throwing). Like hello, it's like not used at all? If these people didn't write their name, didn't fold them into aeroplanes, didn't throw them away (in the rubbish bin), other students could have used them for exams you know?

Forget it. Those selfish people will never care for the Earth. (Yes, I know you guys are going to scroll down already)

Next up, love calculator. Just yesterday, this person called Unknown posted this link on the class blog to this love calculator. So I decided to try it. (Disclaimer: I do not have any crush on anyone for now) I went to put my name, and then put some ANDSS guys' names in who are quite close to me (as in people like Benjamin who sits beside me).

And this 'YOU HAVE BEEN FOOLED!' came out.
Haha, predicted. And by the way I put Ter Shien, WX, and Benjamin's name. JFYI. :)
But it seems rather fun, can trick people, but I'm not that evil okay?
